Hi Judi! I haven't tried it but I think a gluten-free orzo could be an nice substitution. I would add it towards the very end of the cook time so it doesn't absorb too much broth. I hope that helps! xox

No flavor. Was so disappointed. I used low sodium beef broth and less water. House smelled delicious. Followed recipe except for that. Maybe I should have used regular beef broth. Looking forward to eating it tomorrow and seeing if it reduces more and will have more flavor and I’ll add salt. My beef was tender and so were my veggies.

Hi Jan, I'm so sorry to hear you were disappointed by the flavor of the soup! I think the low-sodium beef broth may have been the culprit- I used regular beef broth here and think that extra salt and richness are important for flavoring and seasoning the broth. I am going to add a note to recipe about that for the future! think if you season with a little bit of extra salt when reheating that should help! Thanks for following and for trying the recipe! xox
